Your sermon this week absolutely made us all “draw the circle wide.” Have passed along to sister in at Fifth Avenue as they have started a program to support the homeless in Central Park through filling the circle with compassion, supplies, love, laughter, and acceptance. Wonderful song called, “Crowded Table” by Highwomen, the last verse of which says, “The door is always open, your picture’s on the wall. Everyone’s a little broken, and everyone belongs.” God loves a crowded table!

Reverend Wrisley,
I just finished watching your last church service in Glenn Falls and I am in tears. For years you have been the best source of faith in my life.
We first met when you were starting your church in Celebration, Florida. You have made such a difference in my life, that I needed to share my thoughts with you.
I finally retired from Disney three years ago. COVID changed so much and the magic was starting to fade. I made my goal of 25 years! I was looking forward to getting up when I wanted and doing what I wanted to do. I enjoy the quiet of my home after being around crowds for years.
Yet something was missing. After visiting my sister, she suggested joining a church. Great idea! I went to the church in Celebration and did not get the reception I expected. I found out you had moved, so I started looking. I had such a connection with you as I did with my Pastors in Michigan. I needed that as I felt so lost.
I saw your last live stream in Ft. Lauderdale after looking you up on line. I was sad to hear your wife had passed. I know it is hard as I lost Gregg 15 years ago. You had said you were moving to the church in Glenn Falls, New York.
I have been streaming each week since you started. To see the difference you have made in your time there is amazing! You brought the church to life. I could tell it was not easy, yet you made a big difference.
I always enjoyed your sermons as you started them with “ Good Morning Saints, Good Morning Sinners”. In my opinion, it did not go well at first, yet with your explanation they seemed to understand.
As I age, I think about the different people that have made a difference in my life, you are one of those people. A pioneer who started a church in Celebration, Florida. When I became a leader at Disney, I let my schedule take priority in my life and unfortunately put church on the back burner. I would come to the Christmas Eve service after singing in the Candlelight Processional. You always had the most beautiful service. Afterwards you would stand outside and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I always held back, to get you to myself. You always gave me a big hug and I would tell you it was like getting a hug from God.
I loved your sermon today and when it is posted, I will put it in my bible. I now know why I was drawn to it each week. The explanation of your 6 elements to the rue, was the constant I needed. I cried good treats as it was like your hug to me to keep on going.
I wish you well on your retirement journey and I know God will continue to bless you as you have blessed so many of us by being our Pastor.
